and isnt the same thing over and over again. And if you can, find a

RHH: Is Big L the pioneer of modern rap?

Hear me out. When Big L first came onto the scene, he introduced the
hip hop genre to the "one-line punchliners".

E.G.

" If you battle L, you picked the wrong head
I smash mics like corn bread, you can't kill me, I was born dead."

You see a lot of rappers nowadays trying to copy L's style, but can
never sound as good. A lot of these mainstream rappers, and even some
wannabe underground guys like Fabolous imitate L's style with their
corny A*s punchlines. I personally credit this movement to Big L.
While a master lyricist, I think he really set the foundation for
corny punchlines.
How? This would mean he was the guy who first started the punchline
era.
I think I should have asked,

" Is Big L the pioneer of Modern LYRICISM?"
@ King of Aces, I completely agree. My point is that L influenced
mainstream punchliners, who take up about 80% of the mainstream game.
